House Passes Tenney Cosponsored Pro-Veterans Bill

Today, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) announced the passage of H.R. 3997, Free Veterans from Fees Act. Every day, veteran groups visit national war memorials to take part in commemorative events that require special use permits. The Free Veterans from Fees Act would waive the application fee required for special use permits for any veteran demonstration or special event at a federal war memorial.

"Our district is home to more than 55,000 veterans. It is our duty to stand with them and honor their service and sacrifice for our country. This bill makes it easier for veterans to participate in commemorative events at national war memorials by waiving the burdensome application fee," said Congresswoman Claudia Tenney. "I will continue to be a strong advocate for our veterans in Congress."
