Womack Statement on Passage of Right to Try

Press Release

Date: May 22, 2018
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after the House passed S. 204, the Trickett Wendler, Frank Mongiello, Jordan McLinn, and Matthew Bellina Right to Try Act of 2017, sending the bill, which improves access to experimental medications for terminally ill patients, to the President's desk to be signed into law:

"Arkansas was the seventh of thirty eight states to adopt Right to Try legislation. Today, I was proud to join my colleagues in giving terminally ill Americans and their families the same hope by allowing those who have exhausted all options to try potentially life-saving experimental treatments. I look forward to the President's signature on this most heartening of legislation."
