Representative Adriano Espaillat Statement on Scotus Decision to Uphold President Trump's Muslim Ban

Today, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) issued the following statement in response to today's Supreme Court decision on Trump v. Hawaii to uphold President Trump's harmful Muslim Ban.

"History will look back on today's ruling by the Supreme Court to uphold President Donald Trump's Muslim Ban as a decision by the higher court that endorsed discrimination," said Rep. Adriano Espaillat (NY-13).

"America is better than the policies that continue to be put forth by the Trump Administration that divide our nation and contradict our core values. As a nation, we must explicitly condemn policies that fuel Trump's agenda of hate that will harm our nation domestically and abroad. The Muslim Ban is a stain on our history as a nation, and I vow to continue to fight for my constituents to confront these harmful hate-based attacks on immigrants, refugees, Latinos and Muslims. Our efforts must continue to ensure America remains a beacon of hope and welcoming to visitors and travelers from around the world."
