Dear Mr. President:

We are writing to you following your historic meeting with Kim Jong Un. We share your desire for a complete, verifiable, and irreversible dismantlement of North Korea's nuclear arsenal, and we stand ready to work with your administration to achieve this objective.

We are also pleased to see that the Joint Statement issued at the conclusion of the Singapore summit included a renewal of the commitment to recover and repatriate the remains of our nation's prisoners of war and those servicemembers who are missing in action (POW/MIA). As you know, our nation cannot account for 7,697 Americans from the Korean War--and that includes 176 Hoosiers. As a nation, we must help these families bring their loved ones home, and we must honor our commitment to never leave our fallen behind.

We applaud your commitment to restart the POW/MIA recovery effort and to finally provide closure for the families that have waited for so long. We are eager to do all we can to help.
