One Year After Heller Lied About Protecting Nevadans' Health Care, Trump Will Reward Him with a Private Fundraiser

On the one-year anniversary of Sen. Dean Heller's promise to protect Nevadans' health care, President Trump is hosting a fundraiser for Heller as a reward for breaking that promise and voting to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Big money donors are writing checks for as much as $50,000 to attend a "private roundtable" in Las Vegas.

Exactly one year ago today, Heller held a big press conference in Las Vegas - standing next to Gov. Sandoval and promising to oppose the Republican health care agenda because it would hurt Nevadans. But then Heller went back to Washington, got pressure from President Trump, and caved just weeks later. Heller voted for a repeal bill that would spike health insurance premiums and cause millions to lose coverage… then he put his name on another radical repeal bill that would slash Medicaid funding for Nevada, allow insurance companies to charge some older Americans thousands more, and even jeopardize coverage protections for people with pre-existing conditions.
