The Tax Reform package of 2017 was a step in the right direction, but more work is needed. Ben supports further simplifying the tax code and reducing rates and the number of tax brackets, which will allow more hard-working residents of the Sixth District to keep more of what they earn. Taxation should be used for raising federal revenues to fund the core functions of government found in the Constitution, not used as a tool to enact economic and social engineering. Ben has fought for lower taxes in Richmond and will do the same thing in Washington.
