Issue Position

National defense is the single most important, Constitutional obligation of the federal government. Our brave men and women in the armed forces need the resources and modernized equipment to protect our freedoms in an increasingly dangerous world. As we seek to modernize and improve our military readiness, we should account for every taxpayer dollar. As the delegate in the General Assembly who represents VMI, the nation's oldest state-supported military institute, Ben will support our troops because he recognizes the sacrifices they've made on our behalf. Congress must do its job and fund our military while protecting taxpayers through regular audits of all federal agencies, including the Pentagon.
