Issue Position

The brave men and women who serve our country deserve quality care and support when they return home. As a member of the House Committee on Armed Services, making sure our veterans have the resources and tools they need to adjust to life upon coming home is one of my biggest priorities. One of the first bills I cosponsored was the Manufacturing Jobs for Veterans Act, which establishes a pilot program to support training, apprenticeships and certification classes for veterans. I've also supported legislation that offers tax breaks to businesses that hire more veterans.
