U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan (R-AK) today issued the following statement in response to the Trump administration's announcement that it will impose new metal tariffs against key U.S. allies:

"Right strategy. Wrong target. The president and his administration have repeatedly and correctly stated that China's non-reciprocal, mercantilist policies pose the biggest economic threat to America, our workers, and the U.S.-led global trading system.
