Walberg Applauds House Passage of "Right to Try' Legislation

Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) today voted for the Trickett Wendler, Frank Mongiello, Jordan McLinn, and Matthew Bellina Right to Try Act, which will improve access to experimental treatments for patients with terminal diseases or conditions. S. 204 passed the House by a vote of 250-169 and now heads to President Trump's desk. Right to Try laws have been enacted in 40 states, including Michigan.

"Patients with life-threatening illnesses are our neighbors, friends, and loved ones," said Congressman Walberg. "When they are fighting for their lives, and all other treatment options are exhausted, these individuals deserve the freedom to try experimental medicines. The Right to Try Act is a bipartisan bill that offers hope to patients and families facing the unthinkable."
