Statement

Location: Washington, DC

Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03) released the following statement applauding the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for disbursing millions in Community Development Block (CDBG) Grants to Henderson, Las Vegas, and Clark County; millions in HOME program grants to Henderson, Las Vegas, and Clark County; and hundreds of thousands in Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) to Las Vegas and Clark County; and a $1,516,285 Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) grant to Las Vegas.

"With Southern Nevada's critical needs for housing and community services for low-income families, these new grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development will provide our local governments with more resources to address these issues," said Rosen. "I will continue to advocate in Congress for strong federal funding to support these types of housing grant programs that directly invest in and benefit Nevadans."
