Rosen Amendments to Defense Authorization Bill Pass the House Armed Services Committee

Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03), a member of the House Committee on Armed Services, announced the passage of three amendments she introduced to H.R. 5515, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2019:

"I'm proud that the House passed this bipartisan defense authorization bill for Fiscal Year 2019 with a number of important amendments I introduced," said Rosen. "For Nevada, this legislation will help shed light on the serious dangers the Yucca Mountain project poses to our national security operations, and it will inform us on the status of our military's automated cyber defense capabilities. We are also now one step closer to classifying domestic violence as a crime in the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which will close a dangerous loophole allowing convicted domestic abusers to buy firearms. I will continue to work across the aisle in the Armed Services Committee to pass measures that keep Nevadans safe and support our troops."
