Rosen-Backed Amendments on Aviation Gender Gap and FAA Cybersecurity Pass the House

Statement

Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03), a member of the House Armed Services Committee and Congressional Cybersecurity Caucus, announced the passage of two amendments to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act that she co-sponsored.

The first amendment directs the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration to create and facilitate the Women in Aviation Advisory Board. The Board would promote organizations and programs that provide education, training, mentorship, outreach, and recruitment of women into the aviation industry. The second amendment requires the FAA to transmit to Congress a report on the development of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) standards for FAA operations.

"The amendments I co-sponsored in the FAA Reauthorization Act will help ensure that women have a greater presence in the aviation industry, and that the FAA meets the highest standards possible in its cybersecurity and artificial intelligence plan," said Rosen.
