Senators Gillibrand, Murray, Baldwin Announce Resolution Opposing Trump Administration's "Gag Rule' To Take Away Women's Access To Critical Health Care

U.S. Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Patty Murray (D-WA), and Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) today announced that they have introduced a resolution opposing the Trump Administration's proposed new restrictions to Title X family planning funds. Earlier this week, the Trump Administration announced a domestic "gag rule" that would prevent health care providers from discussing the full range of reproductive services with patients and undermine access to potentially life-saving care for millions of women across the country.

"This is one of the most blatant attempts yet by the Trump Administration to interfere in a woman's right to make her own health care choices, and we must fight back against it," said Senator Gillibrand. "I urge my colleagues to join me in standing up and opposing this horrible new proposed regulation."
