Senate Confirms Scott Kracl as U.S. Marshal for Nebraska

Statement

Today, the U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed Scott E. Kracl to serve as U.S. Marshal for the District of Nebraska. President Trump nominated Kracl following the recommendations from Nebraska U.S. Senators Deb Fischer and Ben Sasse. Fischer released the following statement on Kracl's confirmation:

"Scott Kracl served Nebraska well as a member of the State Patrol for many years and in many leadership roles. I'm excited that he has now been confirmed to continue to protect and serve Nebraska communities in this new capacity. I congratulate him on his confirmation as U.S. Marshal."

Scott Kracl began his law enforcement career with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) in 1987. He held a number of positions, including: Trooper, Investigator, Sergeant, and Commander of Investigative Services, a role he held from 2007-2016. Additionally, Kracl served as the Commander of Executive Protection and Capitol Security from 2016 until he retired in 2017, after 29 years of dedicated service to the NSP. Kracl earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration from Bellevue University.
