The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was supposed to reduce healthcare costs and provide greater health care options. It has failed. Instead, hundreds of families have told me about the rising healthcare costs. Dozens of small business owners have said they've been unable to grow their companies or create new jobs because of these skyrocketing costs. For these reasons, I've strongly supported effort to repeal and replace the ACA.
Instead of letting the federal government dictate healthcare policy, we should bring those decisions closer to our community and our citizens. Doctors and patients, not the insurance companies, should be the front line in healthcare decision making.
