Congressman Kevin Cramer issued the following statement on the nomination before the Senate of Gina Haspel as the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA):
"Acting Director Haspel is a dedicated public servant who has demonstrated she is qualified to head the CIA. Using her vast experience and knowledge, she took the steps to confront terrorists and protect the lives of countless Americans. President Trump picked the best person to run the CIA and I urge the Senate to set aside petty partisan politics and quickly confirm her as Director of the CIA."
