U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement after President Trump issued a Major Disaster Declaration for the State of North Carolina:
"On Sunday April 15, 2018 Guilford County was devastated by an F2 tornado. Today, help is on the way. President Trump has issued a Major Disaster Declaration for the State of North Carolina, which will release federal funds to help those affected recover from the tornado damage. The FEMA provisions are separated into two categories: Housing Assistance and Other Needs Assistance. These provisions will allow those in need to receive, among other things: temporary housing, home repairs and medical needs not covered by insurance. I want to thank the President for making the disaster relief effort a priority and for his leadership on this."
