Rep. Love Applauds Passage of FAA Reauthorization Act

Congresswoman Mia Love cast a vote for the safety of the travelling public, American jobs, and American innovation by voting YES on the bipartisan FAA Reauthorization Act (H.R. 4) today.

H.R. 4 keeps the programs of the Federal Aviation Administration running for five more years. In addition to providing long-term stability for the Nation's aviation system, H.R. 4 continues the investment in rebuilding our infrastructure--including at U.S. airports--, strengthens consumer protection, supports jobs, encourages innovation and improves safety for families when they travel.

"A safe, thriving aviation system is essential to our economy and to the way of life in Utah and the rest of the nation," Rep. Love said. "Long-term investment also provides stability in the system, in order to make the travel experience even better for all the people who fly every year."

Congresswoman Love listened to a wide variety of voices as she researched this bill. In addition to providing safety for passengers, H.R. 4 protects and benefits airline pilots, flight attendants, airport and cargo workers, and creates efficiencies on behalf of the technology, insurance and engineering industries.

"I'm proud to be among the Members of the House who worked in a bipartisan way to move this bill forward," Congresswoman Love said.
