Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas), a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, released the following statement on President Trump's action to pull the United States of America out of the Iran Nuclear Deal and institute sanctions on the country:
"Protecting the interests of America and of our allies around the world is paramount, and President Obama's disastrous Iran deal has not helped us achieve either goal," said Rep. Estes. "Reinstituting sanctions on Iran sends a strong message that America will not tolerate state sponsors of terror and those who undermine efforts to achieve peace. I support the Trump administration's commitment to denuclearization in Iran and throughout the world, and wish Secretary of State Pompeo well as he travels to North Korea and represents our country in this effort."
