United States Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) today sent a letter to President Trump urging him to hire a Homeland Security Advisor who takes seriously the role of climate change in triggering severe weather events that threaten the safety and security of our nation. The letter follows the recent resignation of Tom Bossert as Homeland Security Advisor and comes as the nation continues to recover from recent natural disasters such as Hurricanes Harvey, Maria, and Irma.
