Johnson Votes to Confirm Pompeo as Secretary of State

U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said this after voting to confirm CIA Director Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State:

"Mike Pompeo's distinguished track record of service to our country was recognized today by a majority of my colleagues. It is disappointing Senator Baldwin and so many Senate Democrats abandoned Senate tradition and put partisan politics ahead of supporting the confirmation of such a well-qualified individual to be our nation's top diplomat.
