"Heading to the floor to oppose Kyle Duncan to serve on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals -- he's an ideological nominee with an awful track record working against women's rights, LGBTQ rights, and civil rights. -PM

Mr. Duncan was on the wrong side of these rights in the infamous Hobby Lobby case, fighting for intolerant bathroom bans against transgender people, and defending the discriminatory Voter ID law in North Carolina which SCOTUS struck down.

In my home state of Washington, Mr. Duncan filed a brief arguing pharmacies should be allowed to refuse to fill birth control prescriptions for ideological reasons. Fortunately, his views did not prevail.

Any one of the cases Mr. Duncan has taken, or the ideological arguments he has made should raise alarm-- all of them together paint an unmistakable picture of a nominee who would not uphold women's rights, LGBTQ rights, or civil rights."
