Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) released the following statement on the president's announcement of U.S. military strikes in Syria:

"I support the president's actions to join our allies, Great Britain and France, to engage in targeted airstrikes on Assad's chemical weapons facilities. The horrific acts committed by Assad against his own people must be addressed and taken seriously, as does Russia's involvement with this regime. I urge my colleagues to support this limited action and our brave men and women in uniform."
