Cramer Questions Mark Zuckerberg During Committee Hearing

Statement

Congressman Kevin Cramer questioned Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg at today's House Energy and Commerce hearing. Zuckerberg was invited to testify before Congress about allegations of potential abuse of Facebooks users' personal information by third parties.

Yesterday during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary and Commerce Committee, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) questioned Zuckerberg on Facebook censoring content that reflects conservative points of views.

Cramer clarified this point to Zuckerberg today, identifying how Facebook has taken faster action to remove conservative political posts from the site than they have illegal advertisements for opioids and other harmful drugs. "Don't wait for someone to flag it, look for it and make it a priority. It's certainly more dangerous than a couple of conservative Christian women on TV," he said to the platform's creator.
