Congressman Jimmy Gomez (D -- Los Angeles) issued the following statement after voting "no" on the FY2018 Omnibus Appropriations Act:
"I voted against this spending bill because it forks over $1.5 billion to kickstart Donald Trump's border wall and mass deportation force while DREAMers and their families get nothing. Although there are provisions in the FY18 Omnibus Appropriations Act that I support, I cannot in good conscience leave 800,000 young immigrants behind."
