Congressman Williams (R-Austin) released the following statement following the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) announcement to deploy the National Guard to the southern border:
"The safety of Americans is absolutely paramount, and as a strong supporter of tougher immigration laws, I applaud President Trump and DHS's announcement to further address our border security loopholes. I have always been in favor of using any and all means necessary, including more boots on the ground, to secure our nation's borders. I will remain dedicated to working with the President and this Congress to ensure we take additional steps to combat threats to our nation and keep our citizens safe."
