Congressman French Hill (AR-02) released the following statement after the House Judiciary Committee announced that the House of Representatives will vote on a balanced budget amendment next week:

"Arkansans are fed up with the government spending more than it takes in, which is why in March, I asked House Leadership to put a balanced budget amendment to the House for a vote -- and next week we will take this vote. Balancing America's budget is the first step in stewardship and responsible governing, and it will save our children and grandchildren from the dangerous effects of running our nation on debt."
