Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-08) released the following statement Sunday:

"The reports of chemical attacks in Syria are horrifying. The use of these weapons is a blatant violation of international law and can in no way, shape or form be ignored or acquiesced to. If it is proven that the Assad regime is once again behind this heinous act, the United States and the international community must hold them and their Russian backers fully accountable and respond accordingly. Myself and my colleagues on the Foreign Affairs Committee will continue to closely monitor this situation."
