Today, Governor Pete Ricketts issued a statement following initial legislative debate on the Property Tax Cuts and Opportunities Act.
"Today's debate on the Property Tax Cuts and Opportunities Act (LB 947) underscored the urgency of property tax relief for the hardworking people of Nebraska. It's time for everyone to come to the table to work together on real tax relief that doesn't rely on tax increases. It is unacceptable for senators to fail to deliver property tax relief for the second year in a row. Senators only have a handful of days left to give Nebraskans tax relief."
