Cortez Masto Touts the Importance of the Export-Import Bank for Nevada Businesses

Statement

U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement in support of the Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank of the United States and it's positive impact on Nevada businesses:

"Despite Republican efforts to eliminate the Export-Import Bank, in the past five years, the Ex-Im Bank has financed more than $7 million in exports from Nevada, supporting 23 business from across the state, 16 of which are small businesses and 6 of which are minority or women owned. In the month of February alone, the Ex-Im Bank financed $790,629.27 in exports from Nevada. Most of these exports came from small businesses in Reno, Sparks and Minden. The Ex-Im bank is vital to ensure that Nevada's exporters have the resources necessary to enter foreign markets on a level playing field. Nevada's growing business community is a source of pride for our state, which is why I am committed to ensuring that Nevada's businesses thrive by supporting agencies that foster innovation, and help Nevadans expand their businesses and ensure they maintain their competitive advantage."
