Rep. Schiff Statement on Expulsion of Sixty Russian Diplomats and Intelligence Officers

Today, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, released the following statement:

"The announcement that sixty Russian diplomats, including known or suspected intelligence officers, will be expelled from the United States, as well as closing the Russian consulate in Seattle, is a necessary response to continued brazen actions by the Kremlin, most recently the use of a nerve-agent in England. These measures, taken in concert with other nations, send an important signal of our solidarity with our closest ally, and may help deter further Russian aggression."
