U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement after President Trump announced new trade actions against China:

"President Trump's trade actions against China are the right thing to do. China has used the wealth of the American people to crush human rights and destabilize our economic order. The actions announced today are good first steps toward re-asserting American economic leadership."

Rubio urged President Trump to take Section 301 actions against China in his March 13 op-ed in the New York Times.
