Dear Director Wray,

On March 6, we received a briefing from FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich on the FBI's policies and procedures regarding their tip line and how tips about the Parkland shooter were not followed up on. It is clear that several signs were missed that could have prevented this tragedy.

In order to prevent future mass shootings, we are requesting a comprehensive summary of the powers and jurisdiction that allow the FBI to monitor social media for warning signs that an individual is planning an act of mass violence. We also respectfully request that you provide us with the processes that exist to safeguard individual privacy and ensure due process is followed.
