Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on Senate passage of the Taiwan Travel Act that will encourage visits between U.S. and Taiwanese officials:

"China has made a concerted effort to isolate the people of Taiwan, and only U.S. leadership can push back against this aggression. This legislation is a clear statement of the high regard in which we hold Taiwan, and now the administration should act on it by sending senior U.S. officials to meet with their Taiwanese counterparts."
