Congresswoman Claudia Tenney Joins Suit-Kote Corporation to Highlight Positive Impacts of Tax Reform

Today, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) held a press conference at Suit-Kote Corporation, a family-owned, multi-generational paving company in Cortland, NY, to highlight the local impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Rep. Tenney was joined by Frank H. Suits Jr., President and CEO of Suit-Kote Corporation and employees of Suit-Kote Corporation.

"Our goal in passing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was to deliver real relief to hardworking families like those employed by Suit-Kote. That's exactly what we have accomplished. These benefits are not "crumbs' and it is certainly not "Armageddon.' It's real money back in the pockets of middle-income families, who know how to spend their money better than the federal government. Businesses like Suit-Kote are proof that providing desperately needed relief from the failed "tax and spend' status quo, especially in New York State, is the most effective way to improve the lives of all Americans," said Congresswoman Claudia Tenney.

Earlier this month, Frank H. Suits Jr. wrote a letter to Rep. Tenney highlighting the impacts tax reform has had on his business and nearly 800 employees.

In direct response to the new tax law, Suit-Kote announced plans to match the Federal tax cut and provide its employees with a 2 percent retroactive pay increase. They also plan to accelerate their 401k contribution for 2018 by 4 months to provide employees additional funds in their retirement accounts.
