Cramer: House Stands With Families of America's Missing in Action

Today, the House of Representatives passed legislation to reaffirm the American government's commitment to investigate, recover, and identify all missing and unaccounted-for personnel of the United States Military. H.Res. 129 calls on the Department of Defense's POW/MIA Accounting Agency, other appropriate Federal entities, and foreign governments to resolutely continue to account for missing U.S. personnel from past wars and conflicts as well as calling on foreign governments to cooperate fully with the U.S. Government to provide the fullest possible accounting for those American lives.

"We should not rest until the fate of every U.S. service member is known by their families," said Cramer. "This legislation gives peace of mind to those families ensuring they know their loved ones are Never Forgotten."

More than 83,000 personnel of the United States Military are still unaccounted-for around the world from past wars and conflicts. An estimated 50,000 of these are World War II personnel which were lost deep at sea and are unlikely ever to be recovered.
