House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after the Senate voted overwhelmingly to reject President Trump's immigration proposal:
"A strong, bipartisan majority in the United States Senate has joined the American people in resoundingly rejecting the cruelty of the Trump Administration's anti-immigrant demands. The President must stop sabotaging the bipartisan compromises he's asked for, and the Republican Congress must have the courage to pass legislation to protect Dreamers now."
