Given your important role in carrying out the Nuclear Waste Policy Act, we want to provide you with analysis developed by the State of Nevada's Agency for Nuclear Projects on H.R. 3053; the Nuclear Waste Policy Amendments Act of 2017. This office provides technical expertise and advice to both the Governor and the legislature on issues related to nuclear waste. Their analysis raises a number of concerns about this legislation and its impacts on various Department of Energy programs as well as the state and communities we represent.
