Davis Statement on Pritzker - Blagojevich Audio

Today, U.S. Representative Danny K. Davis (D-Ill.) released the following statement on the newest Pritzker--Blagojevich audio from FBI wiretaps:

"I was disappointed to hear the conversation between former Governor Rod Blagojevich and candidate J.B. Pritzker. Illinois, being one of the few states to elect African Americans to the United States Senate and statewide offices, thrives on diversity of the electorate."

"I am hopeful that going forward the campaigns understand the importance of African Americans in the election process and the continuous contributions that are made to the political, financial and educational communities. Conversations like these do more harm to bridging the "divide in political discourse.
