Congressman Warren Davidson (OH-08) released the following statement on reopening of the government following the #SchumerShutdown, which aside from a date-change is the same bill that shut down the government last week.
"Senate Democrats shutdown America's government over DACA. Now they are inevitability supporting exactly the SAME bill they were against in the first place, except one week shorter.
"After passing ALL spending bills on September 14, 2017, the House passed its fifth extension bill (Continuing Resolution) today which includes temporary funding for members of our military and six years of funding for low-income children's health insurance.
"The real deadline to fund the government was October 1, 2017. Meanwhile, the President's deadline for DACA is March 5, 2018. The Senate needs to catch up to the House and #FundAmerica."
