U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement today regarding President Donald Trump's intent to nominate John Nalbandian of Kentucky to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit:

"I would like to commend President Trump for announcing his intent to nominate John Nalbandian, of Union, Kentucky, to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. John's range of experience litigating complex appellate cases in both state and federal courts has set him apart and has made him an ideal choice for this role. An accomplished lawyer, John has the earned the confidence of the legal community and has been recognized for his professional work. He will serve our Commonwealth and our nation well on the Sixth Circuit, and I look forward to the Senate confirming him."
