Congressman Kevin Cramer issued the following statement after the House of Representatives passed a short-term continuing resolution to fund the federal government until January 19:
"Santa should put coal in the stockings of Senate Democrats for refusing to work in a bi-partisan manner to pass all 12 appropriations bills like the US House did in 2017. Thankfully, there will be no Grinch this year as Congress has passed a continuing resolution assuring the government will remain open and functioning for the next four weeks. I look forward to Congress setting aside partisan differences and returning to regular order in 2018."
The short-term funding package includes $2.85 billion for the CHIP program through March 31 with additional measures passed for $81 billion in disaster relief aid.
