Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) released the following statement ahead of the vote on the GOP Tax Scam conference report today:
"This tax scam is a nightmare for Mecklenburg families and I will not support it," said Congresswoman Adams. "It raises taxes on 86 million hardworking Americans, endangers state and local budgets, explodes the deficit, gives 83% of the tax cut to the wealthiest 1% and corporations, strips 13 million Americans of their healthcare, and ransacks Medicare to pay for it. It's a sham."
