Womack Votes to Avoid Shutdown

Statement

Date: Dec. 21, 2017
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after the House voted in favor of a short-term funding extension:

"While there is still disagreement in the spending priorities of our nation, I am glad we were able to move the debate past the holidays. The Congress, however, has a number of major issues pending and the workload in January will prove to be a heavy lift. I am anxious to return to Washington following Christmas with my family to finish work on the 2018 appropriations."
