"I voted NO on the Republicans' short-term spending bill, and I want to be very clear on why: families deserve better.

This Republican-led Congress has used the vast majority of the year trying to take away health care from millions of Americans & jamming through tax cuts for the rich--all while leaving middle class priorities on the backburner.

It's unacceptable for Republicans to leave town with people across the country still waiting for an end to the uncertainty they are facing right now, on everything from the DREAM Act to whether their children will have health care in a few months."
