"I'm on my way to the Senate floor to urge my colleagues to pass the #DreamAct & honor our promise to the 800K young men & women who have come out of the shadows to live full lives in the only country they've known.

So many young people in WA have reached out over the last few months to share their stories about how ending DACA would impact their lives & futures. Here are a few:

One young woman in Tacoma, Adriana, studied hard to become a nursing assistant, and is worried that letting DACA collapse would end her work authorization--a setback for Adriana & her community. #DreamAct

Another young person, a @WSU sophomore, plans to graduate in 2019 & was able to get a job helping adults with disabilities. Ending DACA throws her plans into chaos. #DreamAc

A business owner who applied for DACA shared that he was proud to finish his college degree & contribute his education, skills and taxes back to the WA economy. Now, his fate is uncertain. #DreamAct

It's not easy to speak up in these uncertain times--we owe our thanks to the countless DACA recipients who have bravely shared their stories, in WA & across our great nation, to highlight the critical importance of this fight to our communities. #DreamAct

I urge my Republican colleagues to think about these stories & the Dreamers in their states--show them that President Trump's reckless, divisive agenda doesn't represent us. #DreamAct"
