U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) today released the following statement after the Senate voted to proceed to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:
"Today we're another step closer to reforming the nation's antiquated, complex tax code for the first time in more than three decades. I appreciate the support and hard work of my colleagues over the last few days, and soon we'll vote to let hardworking folks keep more of their money and provide greater economic opportunity for all."
