Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) issued the following statement after the release of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:

"The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will overhaul America's tax code for the first time since President Reagan's historic tax relief 31 years ago," said. Rep. Estes. "Simplifying our national tax code will make life easier for families across Kansas who are sick of spending their valuable time dealing with the IRS' overly complicated tax forms.

"This bill will allow hard-working families across Kansas to keep more of the money they've earned and will dramatically boost our economy. A typical family of four earning $59,000 will get a $1,182 tax cut under this bill. That's money that's desperately needed by families saving for their children's education or for their retirement."
