The House of Representatives passed the Senate-passed Fiscal Year 2018 budget resolution today, paving the way for tax reform. Congressman Rick Allen (R-GA-12) released the following statement:

"Today I supported the Senate-passed FY18 budget resolution. Although I was disappointed in some of the changes made from the House-passed version, we cannot afford to miss this opportunity. Without action, hardworking Americans across the nation will have the same April 15th they always have, and that is unacceptable. President Trump is with us on tax reform and today we have taken a big step towards fixing our broken tax code. We are closer than ever to providing tax relief for hardworking Americans and removing the tax burdens strangling our economy. Our constituents expect this of us. I look forward to working with my Republican colleagues to get tax reform legislation on President Trump's desk."
